Over the past decade, various worldwide trends have had a significant impact on volunteering and citizen engagement. Issues and public policy shifts have occurred in response to changing demographics, advances in technology, globalization and cycles in the economy. Volunteer Canada provides leadership in addressing such changes and by sharing information reflecting the perspectives of local, regional, provincial, territorial and national organizations, as a springboard for conversations and decision-making.
